Community members are at the heart of every association. To keep your organisation healthy and functioning effectively, you need to make sure that their needs are heard and taken care of.
The Community Impact Wheel enables associations of any size to establish their members’ priorities for the association and evaluate how it has succeeded so far. The Wheel shows each member their input in the context of the broader community feedback, as well as the priorities of the board and executives. We are in the middle of large-scale restructuring of our membership engagement activities and are looking for technologies to support us with that. Our challenge is to engage a very large number of people all over the world, but I can see that our membership would like the way the Community Impact Wheel works.
What people say
I look forward to using the tool! This will be so useful to use when we poll our members so they can see their priorities in comparison to the rest of the federation!

We have both an immediate need for a survey tool for a small cohort and a longer-term requirement, and are considering integrating the Community Impact Wheel as a companion to SurveyMonkey where we run our larger annual membership surveys.
What people say
The Community Impact Wheel really helped to elevate the quality of conversation at our Council Workshop, revealing areas we had not previously clearly seen, and sparking discussions that we had not had before.
What people say
I think the Community Impact Wheel it’s great. I have had really positive responses from those I have shown it to. The real time feedback is very popular with the younger members of the society.

The Association of Translation Companies (ATC) is a UK-based, growing trade association with 230 member companies operating in the UK’s language services sector.
The ATC aims to gain a deeper understanding of member companies’ priorities and experiences, to engage and activate member company representatives, and to build a relevant, future-proofed strategy. Through implementing the Community Impact Wheel, the ATC looks to create an immediate, interactive feedback loop between the association’s leadership and its members – a critical step on its engagement journey.
Inspired by the needs of associations and member organisations worldwide, association leader Raisa McNab developed the Community Impact Wheel. Her mission was to create a tool which addresses the unique challenges of engaging and understanding silent community members and to fill the gaps left by traditional survey tools.
Theoughour its development, the tool was tested with a wide array of associaiton members, including national, international, individual and business member organisations globally.
The CIW aids associations in making informed decisions and effectively allocating resources by capturing cricual insights into member needs and values, which leads to improved strategic planning and engagement in dynamic community environments.
