We are pleased to announce the winners for the United Kingdom Association Success Awards 2024.

Best New Event
Winner: IEP Basecamp, Institute of Employability Professionals
The judges said: "The IEP Basecamp 2023 is the result of a very creative team. Great communications work to encourage amazing social media coverage. Innovative approach built on experience with other products. The event directly addressed the needs of members by offering additional training and networking to their members. Good feedback from attendees."
Best Long-Standing Event
Winner: Annual Conference 2024, Association of British Insurers
The judges said: "The delegates enjoyed an engaging and reinvigorated event, which was focused on delivering a step change for ABI, and set out a pathway for the industry. Really strong entry for a high profile and impactful event which was well planned and included impactful keynotes and plenaries. The dedication to DEI was clear. Overall, the event reflects a forward-thinking organisation that is successfully driving change and fostering collaboration within the sector."

Winner: Let's Talk about CBT, British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies
The judges said: "Great project and delivery and a a purposeful initiative with an innovative format and great results, developed completely in-house. The BACP are justifiably proud of what they have achieved and it looks like they have been successful in moving beyond their existing audiences and building public awareness."
Best Education or Professional Development Offering
Winner: TIGA Accreditation, Independent Games Developers' Association
The judges said: "A superb nomination. There has been a huge transformation, managed at low cost and high impact. It was clear that there was a need for accrediting university courses in gaming and the work that has been undertaken has been most impressive. The objectives of the project are clear, the financial results are positive and the initiative provides invaluable income for the organisation."
Best Digital Transformation
Winner: Online Examinations, Pensions Management Institute
The judges said: "Successful transition of exams from physical to digital, enhancing usability and security and increasing efficiency, improving international reach, with a potential to generate income from the international market. Innovative idea and solution, completely breaking away from their historic way of doing things and managing to bring their members and customers on the journey with them."
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Winner: Innovating Accessibility: Embedding Deaf Awareness in Engineering, Engineers for Deaf Awareness
The judges said: "I was immediately drawn in by the concept and mission behind this entry. Working with young talent and corporations at the same time to achieve change in EDI space is unique and should be applauded. Innovative, very well thought, excellent use of the network to engage a large number of people and progress swiftly. It's a super project which I would love to see amplified so that it has wider impact."
Best Association Team
Winner: Working Group 5, Association for Road Traffic Safety and Management
The judges said: "Working Group 5 stands out due to their high impact and enduring contributions to the industry. ARTSM's team is an example of what dedicated, passionate collaboration, deep expertise and commitment, and skilled cooperation with stakeholders can achieve. Their success was marked by immediate adoption, sales, and increased association membership, highlighting their ability to create lasting, positive change."
Association Executive of the Year
Winner: Shuab Ahmed, Chartered Institute of Public Relations
The judges said: "Shuab's leadership of the finance activity exemplifies the importance of back office functions to the success of all business areas of the organisation. His innovative solutions and problem-solving mindset significantly strengthened CIPR's financial stability and overall success, and shows the significance that an innovative, forward-looking finance manager can create. It is great to see recognition for an individual in a very often 'invisible' role."
Executive Director of the Year
Winner: Fiona Campbell, Association of Scotland's Self-Caterers
The judges said: "A clearly capable and inclusive leader who has done so much to boost the integrity, sustainability and profile of Scottish hospitality and the self catering sector. Fiona played a key role in lobbying for COVID-19 financial support for self-catering businesses. She grew ASSC membership from 430 to over 1,700 members, making it a key player in Scotland’s tourism industry. Led the development of ASSC’s Climate Action Plan, promoting sustainable tourism within the self-catering sector."
Association of the Year
Winner: Manufacturing Technologies Association
The judges said: "The MTA is a vital player in the UK manufacturing sector, effectively supporting its members through advocacy, training, and networking opportunities. Their focus on promoting UK manufacturing aligns well with current economic and sustainability goals."
