Winners of the Association Awards UK 2020
We are delighted to announce the winners of the Association Awards UK 2020! We received a total of 114 entries, in 14 categories. Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination and to the 18 judges who evaluated the entries. Congratulations to the winners!
Executive Director of the Year
Winner: Dr Doug Brown, British Society for Immunology
The judges said: "At a time where leadership and vision is required more than ever, Doug has been very proactive and inspired others. The association audience was standing in the front line and Doug and the team facilitated quick learning models and exchange of knowledge within their network of professionals."

This product is truly innovative as no 'off the shelf' product existed in addition to providing a tailored digital library of content to support members in their CPD requirements for personal and professional development.”

Effective Voice of the Year

The results are amazing, truly impressive and inspiring. Great example of an association using video successfully and an effective way to increase members participation”

Individual Member Association of the Year
Winner: British Society for Immunology
The judges said: ” The projects clearly evidence how the BSI are meeting their strategic objectives regarding community, careers and creating change. The outcomes such as the increase in membership and feedback and delegate numbers for the BSI congress provide evidence of successes of the last 12-18 months. Having a focussed covid-19 campaign shows how BSI has adapted this year and the incorporation of the members' voice to impact on related policies highlights the respect and value that BSI has for it's members. Influencing government to commit to the UK's first vaccine strategy is a real success, and BSI's inclusion of the members' voice throughout their strategy will be a strength in this ongoing work.”
