Duncan Rudall resigns as CEO of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors

Duncan Rudall steps down from his role as Chief Executive of the NFDC, citing family commitments amidst ongoing personal challenges.

Duncan Rudall has announced his resignation as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC), a move that has been officially confirmed by the organisation. The news comes after significant personal challenges, specifically the need to spend more time with his family during his wife’s cancer treatment.

Rudall's departure is set against the backdrop of substantial contributions he has made to the NFDC during his tenure. He has dedicated himself to modernising the organisation, enhancing support for current members, and lowering barriers to entry for new members. His efforts have included forging closer ties with other industry groups such as the Institute of Demolition Engineers (IDE), the National Demolition Association (NDA), and the European Demolition Association (EDA), as well as ensuring better collaboration with regulators. This push for transparency and improved competence within the industry has been a hallmark of his leadership.

As stated in the official NFDC announcement, Duncan Rudall will continue to serve in a lesser role until May 21, 2025, maintaining an active presence within the organisation. John Lynch, President of the NFDC, expressed deep gratitude for Rudall's dedication and leadership, citing the transformative impact he has had throughout his time with the federation. The NFDC's ongoing commitment to growth and progress in the industry is underscored by the legacy Rudall is set to leave behind.

The NFDC will keep its members updated on future developments regarding Rudall’s successor and overall organisational changes.
