2025 ISPE Europe Annual Conference to focus on regulatory expectations and innovation

The ISPE Europe Annual Conference from 12 to 14 May aims to unite industry leaders and regulators in discussing key topics such as Pharma 4.0™, AI, and drug shortages, featuring significant speakers from European health authorities and offering insights into current pharmaceutical challenges.

The 2025 ISPE Europe Annual Conference is set to take place from 12 to 14 May in London, UK, and will also be accessible virtually. Organised by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), the event aims to bring together industry leaders and regulators to discuss pressing topics within the pharmaceutical sector.

This year's agenda highlights contemporary issues, including regulatory expectations, the implementation of Pharma 4.0™, and the exploration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and smart manufacturing. Attendees will gain insights from case studies that focus on practical workplace applications ranging from risk assessment to designing testing approaches and establishing baseline metrics.

The conference is expected to have significant participation from European health authorities. Evdokia Korakianiti, Head of Quality and Safety of Medicines at the European Medicines Agency (EMA), expressed her anticipation for the event, stating, “I look forward to participating in the 2025 ISPE Europe Annual Conference. I plan to present on the role of regulators as enablers for innovation to facilitate the development of new therapies and enhance the supply of existing medicines to patients.”
