AAE Community Guidelines

Last updated on: 30 April 2024

The Association of Association Executives (“AAE” "we," "us" or "our") moderates its community, social media platforms, membership platforms, forums and events based on following principles:

  1. AAE values the diversity of views, expertise, opinions, backgrounds, and experiences reflected among AAE members and the broader community, and is committed to providing a safe, productive and welcoming environment for all participants of AAE meetings, events and membership, and expects you to afford the same respect for other members.
  2. Please ensure your comments are legal, non-judgemental, and polite. We have a zero-tolerance policy for (cyber)bullying and do not accept any personal attacks, harassment, discrimination on any ground such as race, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), religious affiliation or belief, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, national origin, age or inappropriate behaviour directed at the organization’s representatives, members or subscribers. Where comments or posts are removed or members blocked or banned, AAE’s decision is final.
  3. When posting comments in the community or sending private messages to the members or AAE representatives, please choose your words consciously and with care and do not use language that is threatening or offensive. Sometimes words that you deem acceptable or are written with passion may be taken as offensive. Maintain a respectful tone, especially when discussing controversial issues.
  4. If you notice a disrespectful comment from someone else – do not engage with them as this may inflame the issue and cause greater distress to others – please inform AAE through the online form available within the user platform. We will determine the action to be taken.
