AAE is pleased to announce and welcome Julia Jepps as the Programme & Research Director. Julia is responsibe for researching member education and information needs in order to create high-value sessions in the AAE’s growing events programme.

Julia has more than 30 years experience working on creating business-critical conferences, working with Damian Hutt our Executive Director at Informa, then from 2000 to 2008 at the Council of Mortgage Lenders and was responsible for all events similarly at the Finance and Leasing Association.

Julia is hugely experienced in formulating creative, relavant and innovative conference programmes in a wide range of sectors, including across financial services, health and social care, and third sector organisations.

Damian Hutt, Executive Director says “We were lucky to have Julia join the team. She has so much experience and talent in this area.  Our mission is to create valuable, educational, memorable, and interesting education, and I have no doubt that we will go from strength-to-strength with Julia on board.”

Julia is looking forward to working on the huge range of association’s needs and their activities - the diversity is fascinating.  She’s excited to be using her own experience of membership organisations to produce such great value for all association executives.

Julia says “It’s an exciting yet challenging time for most associations and I am looking forward to helping our members recognize and meet those challenges at our content-focussed events.  Events continue to be the best way of learning, networking with peers and sharing experiences - good and bad.  Building a community through events continues to be an important route for association executives to develop their own expertise and progress their careers.”

If you have a topic you would like to speak on at Association Congresses (World, Africa, UK), Engage2018, Association Events Strategy Conference, Association Leaders' Forums or our seminars, please email Julia at
