About the role

The Secretary and Administrative Assistant for EPSU plays a key role in supporting the efficient operation of EPSU's daily activities, ensuring effective communication, and facilitating the smooth running of various administrative tasks. The secretary and administrative assistant support daily operations and ensure efficient office management, enabling EPSU to focus on its core mission of advocating for workers’ rights and ensuring high-quality public services across Europe. The role requires professionalism, confidentiality, and dedication to EPSU’s goals of fostering solidarity, equality, and social justice within the European public service sector.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, organization, and follow-up of EPSU activities and events.
  • Preparing with the responsible police officer(s) meeting documents, contacting participants and speakers, drafting correspondence, writing minutes, etc
  • Managing contacts and communication with members, in person and also via the EPSU database and website
  • Other tasks as required for the good functioning of the EPSU office

Skills, Competencies & Experience

  • Experience and interest in organizing meetings and events
  • Excellent spoken and written English (C2) plus good knowledge (C1) of German, Swedish and Russian.
  • Knowledge of other European languages will be an advantage
  • Good IT knowledge (Microsoft 365, Mailchimp, CRM, Zoom)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Interest in social issues and trade union work
