About the role
Secretary/Administrative Assistant role at EPSU (European Public Service Union) is essential for supporting the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the organization. EPSU, which represents workers in public services across Europe, relies on this position to ensure smooth organizational functioning and efficient coordination within the team and with external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Planning, organization, and follow-up of EPSU activities and events.
- Preparing with the responsible police officer(s) meeting documents, contacting participants and speakers, drafting correspondence, writing minutes, etc
- Managing contacts and communication with members, in person and also via the EPSU database and website
- Other tasks as required for the good functioning of the EPSU office
Skills, Competencies & Experience
- Experience and interest in organizing meetings and events
- Excellent spoken and written English (C2) plus good knowledge (C1) of German, Swedish or Russian.
- Knowledge of other European languages will be an advantage
- Good IT knowledge (Microsoft 365, Mailchimp, CRM, Zoom)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical, organizational and time-management skills
- Interest in social issues and trade union work
