About the Organisation

EuRIC is the voice of the European recycling industry and gathers the vast majority of national recycling federations and leading recycling companies. The Confederation represents about 5,500+ recycling companies—from market leaders to SMEs—generating an aggregated annual turnover of about 95 billion EUR by treating various waste streams such as household or industrial and commercial waste, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, electronic waste, end-of-life vehicles, packaging, end-of-life tyres, textiles, ships, and construction and demolition waste.

About the role

In this role, you will be at the heart of coordinating and implementing tasks for EuRIC’s EU-funded projects. Collaborate with members and stakeholders to drive impactful initiatives in the recycling industry

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage EuRIC’s EU-funded projects (e.g., Horizon Europe) in line with project requirements, timelines, and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with EU funding rules and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, financial records, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication between project partners, EuRIC members, and stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and information exchange.
  • Organise and participate in project meetings (physical and virtual) and events.
  • Monitor project progress and update the project consortium and EuRIC team regularly.
  • Contribute to project dissemination activities, such as presentations and communication materials.
  • Draft policy statements and positions according to the project’s objectives and results.

Skills, Competencies, & Experience

Professional Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in EU-funded projects;
  • Prior knowledge or willingness to learn about EU decision-making processes;
  • Prior professional experience in the waste management or recycling industry would be a plus.

Desired Profile:

  • Familiarity with EU funding programs like Horizon Europe and LIFE and experience with grant writing or financial reporting, is highly valued.
  • Strong interest in environment-related topics with a particular focus in e-waste (circular economy, waste and recycling legislation, etc.)
  • Proficient in English; proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adeptness in public speaking.
  • Strong writing and synthesising skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and readiness to travel internationally as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • University Degree (Master's or Equivalent) in Project Management, Business Administration, Political Science or similar.
