About the Organisation

Eurosif is the leading pan-European association promoting sustainable finance at the European level. Eurosif is a partnership comprised of Europe-based national Sustainable Investment Fora (SIFs). Most of these SIFs have a broad and diverse membership, including asset managers, institutional investors, index providers, and ESG research & analytics providers. Eurosif and its members are committed to the growth and development of sustainable finance and support the ambition of European and global policymakers in enabling a fully transparent and high-quality sustainable investment market through appropriate and well-designed regulation and industry best practice.

Eurosif’s activities involve contributing substantively to public policy development and conducting research that enables a better understanding of ESG implementation, the sustainable finance market, and the obstacles encountered by sustainability-oriented investors.

About the role

The successful candidate will support our team by ensuring smooth and effective financial and administrative management, project management, business development, and event organisation. The role also involves preparing funding applications, overseeing the execution of grants, and helping with reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with, and report to, the Executive Director of Eurosif. This is a new position, so we will shape it jointly based on the organisation's specific needs and your unique skill set.

Responsibilities

Admin & Finance:

  • Administrative support, including answering administrative queries, verifying contracts, assisting in ensuring compliance with Belgian law, including preparing and filing documents in Moniteur Belge, etc.;
  • Support the financial management of the organisation, including:
    • Invoice management from and towards members and service providers, processing invoices/tickets internally and with the accountant;
    • Budget spending monitoring, reporting and optimisation, supporting preparation of financial reports in line with approved budgets and in cooperation with the accountant;
    • Support audit activities.
  • Admin support for preparing grant applications and reporting (particularly on the financial side) as well as overseeing the timely execution of grants;
  • Support the Executive Director in preparing financial and statutory documents for the Board and AGM, including minutes of the meetings;
  • Support the Executive Director in other legal, administrative, and HR-related matters;
  • Updating the contacts database.

Events and Office Management:

  • Support team and office logistics, including organisation of meetings and events;
  • Office management: facility management, contact point for service and suppliers, procurement of office supplies;
  • Making travel arrangements for team members.

Business Development:

  • Lead and manage the rolling out of the Eurosif Club project, including:
  • Finding target companies and reaching out to them to seek to grow the Eurosif Club;
  • Presenting the Eurosif Club and its benefits (making the pitch);
  • Managing paperwork (application forms, contracts, invoices);
  • Ensuring Eurosif Club partners get the promised benefits and their satisfaction.

Skills, Competencies, & Experience

Essential Requirements:

  • Written and spoken fluency in English and French;
  • Prior operations/project/office management experience of a minimum of three years, ideally in a similar organisation;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc.);
  • Professional, reliable, well-organised, and able to prioritise and multitask;
  • Proactive, with a positive attitude and dedication;
  • Flexible and able to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities; strong attention to detail;
  • A team-player, while also able to work autonomously;

Desirable Criteria:

  • Prior working experience in an international environment;
  • Experience in project and grant management and business development.
