About the Organisation
Institute of Regulation is a membership organization. We’re a professional network, providing professional development and promoting good practice in regulation. A third of UK regulators are members, including high-profile organizations such as the Civil Aviation Authority, Ofsted, Ofgem, Information Commissioners Office, National Audit Office, and Care Quality Commission.
We offer a wide range of peer support opportunities – from events, professional development, and special interest groups, alongside contributing to the national conversation on regulation and regulatory practice. We host the UK’s biggest annual conference on regulation and the UK’s only regulation podcast, and we are regularly invited to advise the government and parliament on regulatory matters. Established in 2021, we believe good regulation is essential for a thriving economy and society. We aspire to be the UK home of good regulation.
Institute of Regulation is a member-led organisation. We believe that good regulation holds the key to public organizational effectiveness and social and economic prosperity. We aim to bring sector-specific knowledge sharing for best practices and improved value and provide a framework for policy innovation, collaboration, and improved public services.
