About the role
As part of the Membership Marketing team, you will execute multi-channel marketing activities targeted at various audiences, leveraging insights and data to inform your approach. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and can balance multiple projects effectively. You’ll have experience planning and implementing recruitment and retention activities through email, direct mail and social media.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and delivering compelling campaigns that attract new members and enhance engagement with existing ones. You will work closely with colleagues across different teams, ensuring marketing efforts align with the broader membership strategy.
Additionally, you will play a vital role in member communications, developing engaging content and messaging tailored to different audience segments. Your ability to create clear, persuasive, and effective marketing materials will be crucial in fostering strong member relationships and reinforcing the value of membership.
Responsibilities
Membership Recruitment & Retention:
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones. This could include creating campaigns, promotional materials, and incentives.
Marketing & Communications:
- Manage marketing campaigns through various channels (email, social media, website, print) to promote membership benefits and organizational activities.
Content Creation:
- Produce engaging content for newsletters, social media, and websites to keep members informed and engaged.
Event Support:
- Assist in planning and promoting membership events, webinars, and networking opportunities.
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct research to understand member needs, analyze trends, and suggest improvements to the membership offering.
CRM & Database Management:
- Maintain and update member databases, track engagement, and generate reports to measure marketing effectiveness.
Member Engagement & Support:
- Respond to member inquiries, provide support, and ensure a positive member experience.
Collaboration:
- Work with internal teams, such as communications, events, and policy teams, to align membership marketing efforts with the organization’s goals.
Skills, Competencies & Experience
- Experience in marketing, communications, or membership management.
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, email marketing, and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of CRM or membership management systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze data and report on campaign effectiveness.
- Experience in event promotion and coordination is a plus.
