This position is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead and shape the HR strategy in a growing, mission-driven organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that are aligned with SolarPower Europe’s mission and growth.
  • Nurturing a positive and productive working environment by promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being.
  • Leading talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent in a competitive and dynamic environment.
  • Designing and overseeing performance management systems that ensure high performance across teams, providing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Identifying training and development needs, driving programmes that elevate team competencies and leadership capabilities.
  • Enhancing HR policies and practices, drafting employee handbooks, and ensuring they reflect best practices and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Leading Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to create an inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace.
  • Ensuring compliance with Belgian labour laws, keeping the organisation informed about legislative changes.
  • Strategically managing employee relations, addressing grievances and fostering effective communication between leadership and staff.
  • Overseeing HR operations, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and other operational HR tasks.

Skills, Competencies, & Experience

  • 5+ years of proven working experience in general HR management, ideally in a non-profit association.
  • Strategic mindset with experience designing and implementing HR strategies that align with organisational goals.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Experience with running training programmes
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.
