Trade Promotion Europe is a young and dynamic association dedicated to representing Trade Promotion Organisations (TPOs) and Agrifood Promotion Organisations (APOs). We serve as one voice in speaking with European institutions and we support our members through partnerships, training, and the exchange of best practices.

About the role

Event and Project Officer for Trade Promotion in Europe, your primary responsibility is to organize, manage, and promote trade-related events and projects aimed at increasing business engagement, fostering partnerships, and boosting export opportunities in the European market.

You will work closely with trade organizations, industry representatives, and government bodies to ensure the successful execution of promotional activities that align with strategic goals. This role requires excellent project management skills, coordination, and an understanding of European trade dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Organise and Manage Trade Promotion Europe’s general assemblies, working groups, conferences and trainings
  • Organise events both in terms of content and logistics
  • Conduct research to support working groups and projects linked to trade promotion
  • Manage TPE’s membership and engage regularly with members
  • Manage IT tools, including website, LinkedIn account, SharePoint, etc.
  • Assist the Secretary-General in the day-to-day operation of the Association.

Skills, Competencies & Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in events organization and EU project management. 
  • Experience in a European Trade Association is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask
  • Good relationship management, coordination, and communication skills
  • Excellent level of English (other EU languages are an asset)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team
  • Proactive, Adaptable, and result-oriented and a good team player.
