About the Organisation
European Heat Pump Association is the voice of the heat pump sector in Brussels. We shape policy to deliver a thriving heat pump market for our 230+ members within a secure, competitive, and sustainable European energy system. The European Heat Pump Association has 15-20 European projects, coordinates the Heat Pump KEYMARK certification scheme, and organizes events and communications campaigns across Europe. The association has 30 staff members from around 10 countries and is based in Brussels, with offices located off the Schuman roundabout.
About the role
The role of an EU Project Officer at the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) is dynamic and involves engaging with European energy, environmental, and climate policies while advancing the association's mission of promoting sustainable heat pump technology across Europe.
Responsibilities
- EU Projects Officer you will be reporting to the previous Manager of the project as well as the Head of Projects. You will be responsible for
- Managing your project from A to Z with support from the other team members.
- Executing the reporting of projects and constantly adapting and checking the resource distribution with support from the other team members.
- Participating in and organizing project events and workshops, with support from the other team members.
- Assisting in the development of new projects and tender initiative proposals with members and partners in line with the association’s strategy.
- Representing the association at meetings and events (industry fairs) relevant to EHPA’s project work.
- Networking with new potential project partners.
- Supporting the Head of EU Projects.
Skills & Competencies
- 1-3 years of experience in EU project planning and management.
- Knowledge of Horizon Europe and/or LIFE program procedures, and other programs is an asset (Tenders, Interreg).
- Willingness to proactively learn about project proposal drafting and EU energy policy / EU research and innovation.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Highly organized, with an aptitude for planning effectively to meet deadlines and to go beyond the project proposal ambition.
- Fluent spoken and written English and other EU languages are an asset.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft 365 & Apple environments).
- Enjoy being part of a dynamic international team.
