About the Organisation
European Health Management Association (EHMA) is the only membership association in Europe that brings together the full health ecosystem of health managers, informal and formal caregivers, patients, legislators, educators, policymakers and regulators, public health experts, researchers, health insurance experts, and industry. We coordinate projects, events, and initiatives aimed at creating a clear health vision and alignment strategy, as well as laying down the organizational, societal, and technological conditions to achieve optimal health outcomes for individual patients and the entire community. There are currently 15 highly-skilled colleagues in the office contributing to an active, diverse, and dynamic work environment.
About the role
Communications Officer will work in close collaboration with the Communications Manager for the development and delivery of the communication portfolio. They will collaborate with the Policy Team to ensure all communications incorporate the latest health management knowledge, and with the Project Team to leverage all our initiatives and networks. The Communications Officer will report to the Communications Manager.
To build excellence in health management we lead initiatives including research projects, working groups, policy and communication campaigns, and events. We are organized into three departments: projects, policy, and operations. The Senior Management and the Management teams provide leadership and support to all departments.
The successful candidate will be part of the Operations Team and deliver the full communication portfolio for our core operations. They will develop and deliver strategies and campaigns that reach our diversity of audiences and ensure engaging dissemination of initiatives and research findings that support effective health management across Europe.
Responsibilities
- Execute a dynamic communications program for multiple initiatives, including our conference, educational events, awareness-raising campaigns, and more, building and maintaining online channels including websites, social media platforms, newsletters, and publications.
- Support the production and implementation of a communications strategy for the organization, including dissemination targets, identification of audiences, social media, and the development of compelling content.
- Develop reports on metrics and outcomes of various campaigns and activities: media outreach, new campaigns, social media engagement, events, etc.
- Reach audiences that would attend our events and conferences by working in collaboration with the Director of Development, Events Manager, and other colleagues to develop and implement marketing campaigns.
- Support social media coverage of all EHMA initiatives, as well as other health management-related initiatives and events where necessary.
- Ensure maximum social media engagement with allies and trending topics in health management.

- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
Communications Competencies:
- Sound knowledge of social media for dissemination purposes.
- Excellent knowledge of CMS platforms for website management (WordPress).
- Effective use of Newsletter clients (e.g. Mailchimp).
- Ability to develop compelling content and engagement techniques.
- Ability to plan comprehensive communication campaigns.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to complete technical reports, summaries, meeting notes, and briefings.
- Excellent knowledge of visual design tools and editing tools and applications.
- Have a critical eye in terms of quality, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and exploit potential project dissemination opportunities.
