CECIMO specialises in EU regulatory and policy issues, mainly in the fields of industrial policy, sustainability, digitalisation, research and innovation, skills, and trade. About the role
Communications Officer to support the CECIMO Secretariat with communication tasks and provide operational assistance in event organisation and office management. The successful candidate should be pragmatic, forward-thinking, a self-starter, and solution-oriented, with excellent organisational skills, including the ability to plan and monitor the progress of tasks.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and assess campaigns focusing on policy issues and promote awareness of the industry sector
- Ensure clear, effective, and seamless communication with members and key stakeholders within the value chain.
- Create high-quality communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Oversee the website’s maintenance, ensuring timely updates and improvements with fresh content.
- Create engaging written, video, and visual content, including infographics, across the association's website and social media platforms.
- Handle the layout, editing, and production of different publications, promotional materials (flyers, brochures, corporate materials).
- Support the organisation of events, including planning, logistics, content, sponsoring, budget, materials preparation, and vendor coordination.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the office
Skills, Competencies, & Experience
Qualifications, Skills and Competences:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in communications.
- Proficiency in English. Working knowledge of French would be a strong advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of communication software such as Canva, Adobe Suite and other digital image or video editing tools, including AI based tools would be an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of a web content management system (CMS), preferably WordPress. Preferably, knowledge of SEO. Good knowledge of Google Analytics.
- Experience in managing and executing email marketing campaigns, including newsletters and audience engagement, with a strong focus on HubSpot.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office (particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Experience in managing social media accounts and running social media campaigns.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy.

- Academic background in communication, events management, administration, or project management.
