Liveurope is a European initiative dedicated to promoting emerging European music talents and fostering cross-border collaboration in the music industry. Established in 2014 with the support of the European Union's Creative Europe program, it serves as a platform to support concert venues in their efforts to showcase up-and-coming European artists. Liveurope's mission is to help artists break barriers, connect with audiences across borders, and ensure that Europe's musical diversity continues to thrive.
About the role
The Communications and PR Officer role at Liveurope likely involves managing and promoting the organization's communications strategy and public relations efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the communications and PR strategy: you design innovative campaigns to disseminate the values and role of Liveurope in the European cultural landscape.
- Manage the implementation of the strategy with all 24 venues, providing them with toolkits to support the promotion of Liveurope activities and ensuring consistent use of the platform's branding.
- Liveurope communication tools (website, newsletters, social media) and ensure constant interaction with key stakeholders.
- Charge of the relationship with the media (press invitations, press releases, media partnerships).
- Develop engaging storytelling content to showcase the artists touring in the Liveurope circuit.
- Oversee the Liveurope programming results and ensure their proper dissemination through all relevant channels.
- Help monitor important developments for the music sector at the EU level and support advocacy efforts.
- Contribute to the organization of Liveurope events and provide administrative support for financial reports.
- Information point for music professionals in 24 European countries
Skills, Competencies & Experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, community management, European affairs, and/or cultural projects.
- Passionate about live music and cross-border cooperation.
- Proactive and can work independently under tight deadlines.
- Organized, work accurately, and have an open manner of communicating.
- Fluent in English (native level): you are ready to interact exclusively in English at work and you are capable of writing creatively about music, Europe and international cooperation.
- Preferably, you also speak either French, Dutch, and European language.
- Previous CRM and website management experience and strong notions of Adobe InDesign.
