By supporting a dynamic and international community, we strive to make meaningful improvements in education. To achieve these goals, we are looking for a driven and creative Communications and Marketing Manager who can expand our reach, strengthen member engagement, and increase the visibility of our activities.
About the role
EAPRIL organizes various activities, culminating in our annual conference in November. Our main objectives are to grow our membership and maximize participation in the annual conference. As Communications and Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in achieving these goals through strategic and effective communication and marketing initiatives.
The Clouds are EAPRIL’s special interest groups and promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the community. Although the activities of the Clouds and other in-between initiatives are currently limited, we want to expand them to engage our members throughout the year. As Communications and Marketing Manager, you will actively promote the Clouds and support the growth of these initiatives.
Responsibilities
Communication & Marketing
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy.
Keep the website up-to-date and ensure engaging and accurate content.
Manage social media channels (both general and conference-related), including content creation and scheduling.
Create and send monthly newsletters to keep the community informed.
Design communication materials such as flyers, virtual banners, and email signatures.
Develop and execute a membership strategy to promote engagement and growth of the membership base.
Manage the EAPRIL Blog and ensure quality and relevant content.
Manage the general mailbox ([email protected]) and respond to inquiries promptly.
Clouds & In-between Activities:
- Implementing and following up our Clouds & In-between Activities strategy in collaboration with the Board.
- Acting as the main point of contact for questions related to the Clouds and other in-between activities (e.g., publications, workshops).
- Supporting the organization and promotion of Cloud-related and other in-between events.
- Developing and managing the guidelines for the Clouds, including managing the funding processes.
- Organizing and facilitating meetings with Cloud coordinators (twice a year), including taking and distributing minutes
Other Tasks:
- Providing back-up support for our Conference & Association Manager.
Skills, Competencies, & Experience
- Experience in a communication or marketing function is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, both verbal and written.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work independently while working effectively in a small team.
- Strong sense of responsibility, excellent planning skills, and multitasking capabilities.
- Knowledge of website management, CRM, and MailChimp. Knowledge of Craft is a plus.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communication or Marketing (or equivalent Experience).
