About the Organisation
SEE federates 28 national and European social economy networks, it is the only EU organisation representing collective interests of all social economy enterprises and organisations such as cooperatives, mutuals, associations, charities foundations, social enterprises, and other legal forms. SEE is a democratic organisation run by its members, represented in the General Assembly and the Executive Board.
The operational team of SEE is currently composed of 4 members: the Director, a Project Lead & Policy Officer, a Project Officer, and a Membership and Policy Officer. SEE takes care of the secretariat of the European Parliament’s Social Economy & Services of General Interest Intergroup, is a member of the European Commission Expert Group on Social Economy and Social Enterprises (GECES), and of the EESC Civil Society Liaison Group, as well as an observer of the European Industrial Forum, and of the United Nations Taskforce on Social and Solidarity Economy.
About the role
You are a motivated, proactive person, enthusiastic about working in a small team, in a multicultural and international environment. You have excellent organisational skills, you are efficient and autonomous.
Responsibilities
Develop and Manage Social Media Content:
- SEE organises events, participates in events, projects, and working groups, develops policy papers, implements actions, collaborates with other networks and, has not enough time to show and promote its achievements ! We need someone to let the world know what SEE is doing at an EU level. We are on LinkedIn, X, FB, insta and maybe you will help us navigate.
Elaborate Newsletters & News Briefs:
- We publish a newsletter every 6 weeks, and we would love you to supervise it and write it. We also want to disseminate short brief news more regularly. Of course, the SEE team and members are helping to gather content and suggest news topics.
Communication on EU Projects:
- We are involved in different EU-funded projects, and we need to disseminate results via social media, but also on our website and through other communication channels. Sometimes, we need to target specific groups and need support for these tailored communication actions
Communication Strategy:
- Given the previous points, you probably guessed it, You will also help us to further develop our Communication strategy and manage it in close collaboration with the SEE team.
Skills, Competencies, & Experience
Must-Have Skills:
- Passion for communication (strategy, digital, publications)
- Excellent English writing skills as well as copywriting talents
- Capacity to address different targets, from high EU level representatives to grassroots organisations
- Skills in graphic design and good practice of Wordpress
Nice to have Skills:
- Knowledge about Social economy
- Experience in working in/for an NGO
- Experience in public relations
- Experience in event organisation
- Fluency in other EU official languages, particularly Spanish
- Good photographic skills
Conditions of employment
- You must have the right to work permit in Belgium.
Working locations
- Hybrid model, working in the Brussels office and remotely
- Occasional travel required within Europe

Interviews
