Nicole Leida is Director of Operations for Association Management and Consultancy Services at MCI UK, and Director of Operations for the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery leading MCI’s global team supporting ESCRS. She has extensive expertise in strategic event management and communities’ engagement. With a focus on optimising account operations, Nicole collaborates closely with her team to deliver high-quality services.
Nicole has over 15 years’ experience of working within associations: she led the Conference and Events team at the National Cancer Research Institute for 8 years, where she implemented a robust digital engagement program and secured global press coverage for major events. Her strategic insights and leadership were pivotal in enhancing audience engagement and improving organisational awareness in the sector.
Prior to that, she worked at the Royal Society of Medicine, where she managed a team of 30 professionals, leading on the deployment and customisation of a new customer relations management system and the digitalisation of educational activities.

As Global Vice President - Associations & Communities for MCI Group, Nikki is responsible for ensuring MCI’s rich experience, expertise and innovations are uniquely aligned to solve each client’s needs and optimize growth and engagement with their wider community and eco-system. She oversees MCI’s regional hubs and many national markets throughout Europe, Middle East, Asia and North and Latin America.
Her global team of professionals help associations create meaningful experiences, events and impact; design and deliver effective engagement and targeted communications and build communities through consulting, management and engagement solutions. Nikki is passionate about helping associations design their strategy, innovate, and ensure relevance. She has extensive association management, consulting and engagement experience having served as Executive Director for several associations under MCI’s management including the European Society of Association Executives. She spends her days helping associations with their strategy, value proposition and operational effectiveness and regularly conducts consulting projects from strategy development and market research to board retreats, governance reviews, audits, environmental scans and business planning for associations across a variety of sectors and industries.
