Elevating your association with young professional power
We are at a unique moment when five generations work together at once, but many organisations struggle to engage their youngest team members. Young professionals are a broad and often misunderstood demographic. Their needs are ever changing, fast paced, and their time is limited. However, they are also the future of your society and the key to becoming a stable, exciting, and relevant association. How an organisation engages with its young professionals impacts how younger audiences see their future with you, and how relevant and energized your established members feel. In this session we will explore young professionals’ needs and expectations, and identify how association can make the most of their future leaders.
James Whitaker is the Senior Young Member Programs Manager at the Society of Petroleum Engineers International, where he is responsible for the strategic development of young member programs and works closely with international student and young professional committees.
